Family Reunion

Everything went wrong on our flight to DC. We almost turned back three or four times. Our flight was canceled, moved to another aircraft, we were traveling without Ryan (he was on a United flight the Navy booked for him), I was cramping badly, with all the delays we weren't going to make our connection in Las Vegas, we made the connection but only because they held the plane for us so we boarded a sold out flight - I could go on and on. It was bad. At one point I just started crying! The only reason we didn't turn back was because we knew we had people coming from all over to see us in DC. My cousin Richie and his family were driving in from New Jersey. My dear friend Tiffany Bingham and her family were driving up from Norfolk, VA. Our wonderful friends Moses and Susan Massey were driving over six hours from North Carolina! Collette and Sissy were waiting for us in DC. We were looking forward to seeing all of them more than anything we have looked forward to in a long time. We had to make it there!

Well, it was well worth it! It was wonderful to see everyone. It was a giant family reunion. When we were living in Florida we got very close to the Massey family. They visited us often from North Carolina. We would vacation together at Disney World and spend birthdays together. We love them very much. We also hadn't seen Richie and his wife since my wedding. I had never met his kids (who are adorable, by the way). It really was great to see everyone. (Unfortunately, Richie and his family left before we took pictures)

(Susan, Moses and Nancy) Nancy was sad because we had all just cried when it was time to say good-bye.
