Sam turns 1yr old on FRIDAY (Aug 22)! We have started the preparations for this week's festivities. On Friday, he will have a private party for just his immediate family. Grandma Nancy is preparing a very special surprise cake and cookies. Then, on Saturday, he will have a birthday party with some friends from church and neighbors. He will also have his 1yr old photo session on that day. We will also make birthday photo cards to send everyone in our family with pictures taken on Friday. Expect those to be delivered to all of you sometime late next week. Professional photos will follow within the month.
I can't believe it's been a year (although it does feel like ten years since the last time Ryan and I slept!). Our little boy gets bigger everyday. At church on Sunday he was voted "the kid with the best hair" by all that saw him. His curly hair is getting a bit crazy but very cute. Unfortunately, it's time for his first trim sometime this week.

(This picture is Sam enjoying the Mexican Trio at the local Mexican restaurant this weekend. He loves to hear people play music live, especially Spanish music. As you can see, he has great curly hair!)

Oh my!!!! He has the cutest little set of curls. It reminds me so much of Anson's curls. I had a hard time giving him that first haircut.

He is so adorable. I love his curls. He and Beau Ryan have one thing in common. They love that mexican music.
