Trip to San Diego

We just got back from our first real family vacation to San Diego. Ryan was staying there for two weeks with the Navy, and we decided to join him for one week. We had so much fun. Sam adjusted to this trip a lot faster than our trip to Utah. Probably because we had Grandma Nancy with us this time. Sam has a tendency of looking around and 'counting' his family. We find him search for each of us when one of us leaves the room and he is happiest when Mama, Dada, and grandma Nancy are all sitting next to him. He gets that from me. I'm known for saying "Where are you going?" everytime someone stands up as if I am missing them already. It drives my mom and Ryan crazy. Now Sam has the same habit. That should be fun! We got to introduce Sam to the ocean during our trip. We figured he would love it because he loves nothing more than taking a shower; however, he didn't like it at all. We're hoping it grows on him with time.

Next week, we are traveling again as a family to Texas. This time, to see my family. Sam hasn't seen his grandpa Rudy (my dad) since he was four month old. My family is so excited to see him. We can't wait either!
